Me and my Animals

This project is an applied game with the purpose of teaching English to children ages 6 to 9 and learning them important info about the animal kingdom in the process. It was a group project which we made over the course of an entire semester for the course Applied Games of Independent Game Production. 

It is a 2D sidescroller with platforming elements. There is a small overarching story in each level segment that teaches children information of the different wildlife while exploring. Upon completion of the level a mini game can be played as either a Chameleon, Hummingbird or Surgeonfish. After beating the mini game there is a small quiz which tests the childrens gained knowledge.
